About The Author

Carl Drescher is an IT Administrator for the City of Tucson in Arizona.  Carl is a graduate of the University of Arizona, has been an IT professional for the last 23 years. During that period he has worked for IBM (marketing), ENTRE Computer Center (managed local support, training, and engineering ), Cornell University (network admin), University Medical Center in Tucson (network admin), and the City of Tucson.   Currently Carl oversees the Network Division of IT which includes the network engineering, communications engineering, emergency communications (911 dispatch and CAD), and telecommunications.

Carl is passionate about the use of technology in government to gain efficiencies, to provide a higher level of service, and to engage citizens.
